Catherine Jamieson has been painting since 1984, this has been a very personal journey and only on encouragement from others has agreed to share her experience with you on this informal get together painting event. Bringing together Spirituality, Meditation and the friendly environment to encourage you to paint freely and enjoyably without the fear of criticism or frustration.
This workshop will begin each day with a guided meditation to introduce us to an extra dimension of colour and if necessary will also include additional meditations to help us keep in tune with our goal.
On Day 1 we will spend most of the day exploring putting colour onto paper, creating a cleansing Mandala try and loosen up, we will move away from the formal training we have all often been restricted by. By the end of Day 1 we will be considering our large canvas for work on the next day.
Overnight you will be asked to seriously ponder your colour selections and subject to ensure you are fully connected with your 'freedom mission'
Day 2 we will again meditate and immediately start to put paint to canvas. We will then spend the day creating our large abstract canvas whilst staying connected to our higher selves.
By the end of this workshop you will be able to take home your very own masterpiece which will contain a special meaning to you, one which you will be able to hang on the wall and enjoy each day.
We will be working in Pastel on day 1 and Acrylic on canvas on Day 2. If possible please bring materials with you. The canvas will need to be already stretched and mounted and at least 50cm square (these are readily available now from most DIY stores and art shops, a high quality is not required for this workshop)

This workshop is also suitable for Parents & Children, our accommodation and safe environment make this a very special opportunity for a relationship to become stonger and closer.
Important note regarding taking home your canvas - the size we will be working on is too big for hand luggage if travelling by air, please make sure you check in a large suitcase. We are also prepared to be available if you arrange a parcel courier to pick up your painting but I am afraid we cannot arrange postage or courier for you. Paintings will be kept for up to 1 month after a course whilst you arrange collection.
