Phillip Bissell was Head of Art and Design in a Norfolk High School for 34 years and have taught both adults and children at all levels. He now concentrates on his own painting and spiritual growth and sharing his enthusiasim, considerable talent and gregarious personality with you.

He feels he has been very privileged in recent years to have had exhibitions in Canterbury, Essex, The Dordogne, France, Norwich and recently, two highly successful exhibitions at The Whole 9 gallery at Culver City and the West Hollywood Gallery, both in Los Angeles.

Phillip and his enchanting partner are Reiki Masters and have, during the past three years, been painting together, channelling energies into their abstract work.

We are fortunate that Phillip is prepared to come to Grue Demoiselle this summer to share his talents with us.

Workshop

Paint is one of the most powerful tools of creative expression. It vibrates with colours, it flows off the tip of the brush with energy that moves through our whole body. It makes shapes and images right in front of us to surprise, to delight and to convey an immediate impression of mystery. When this happens a connection to our deepest most inner selves has taken place, and our soul recognises it…there has been a coming together of art and spirituality at its most profound and meaningful level. It is during these moments of connection, when you follow your inner guidance, that you feel your energy, inner power and strength grow along with a sense of spiritual aliveness.

Through painting you will be able to connect with your own soul and creator. On this course, the Intuitive painting techniques will be used as a tool of self discovery, helping you to understand the self through colour and form; to find your soul connection and connect to the ultimate creative life force.

Connecting creatively with our inner spirit helps us see things differently; it gets us out of our normal point of view and allows new possibilities to surface.

During the course you will be encouraged to be directed by your spirit, intuition and instinct rather than by rules; to be honest with yourself; to allow your inner creative light to shine through; to abandon preconceptions as to what painting is all about; to be audacious; to make a giant leap of faith into the unknown…..and above all, to have lots of fun doing it !

The course will provide you with a safe and nurturing environment in which you will be able to find your own authentic creative self and feel a release from the restrictions you may have surrounded yourself with. I guarantee you will be delighted, amazed and moved by what you create !

Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy, pure creative energy. When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to the creator's creativity within us and our lives.
